Süreko Becomes Main Sponsor of KalDer

The “KalDer Symposium on the Management of Hazardous and Special Wastes,” held on 10–11 January 2011 in İzmir, took place with Süreko Waste Management A.Ş. as the main sponsor. Over eight sessions and 20+ presentations were delivered. The opening session featured a talk by Bornova Mayor Prof. Dr. Kamil Okyay Sındır. Süreko’s Environment and Quality Chief Özge Erbulundu presented on “Recovery and Disposal of Hazardous Wastes,” chaired by Chamber of Environmental Engineers İzmir Branch President Vildan Gündoğdu. The presentation covered Süreko’s current recovery and disposal capabilities and investments nearing completion. The symposium, which drew strong interest from industrial firms, strengthened cooperation between Süreko and Aegean industrial waste producers. Our booth also attracted considerable attention, where we shared updates on energy recovery and waste disposal applications being commissioned.
