Süreko is the first private company authorized with maintaining landfill areas for industrial wastes in Turkey. Under the license obtained from Environment and Urban Planning Ministry, wastes that are classified under Annex 2-C of the Regulations on Wastes Landfill are accepted to Class I Landfill Area. Samples are taken by Accredited Analysis Laboratories from the wastes suitable for analysis and are controlled in our laboratories. The controlled waste is received into the plant on the date agreed upon with the waste generator company, sampled again at the weighbridge, and subjected to compatibility test.
Wastes with affirmative compatibility test are registered into Landfill Accept Form, and the vehicle is forwarded to Class I Landfill Area. The wastes accepted into landfill areas are poured into the appropriate section. Spreading / compaction procedures are applied with work machines, and the pile is covered with the intermediate cover soil in order to prevent smells and adverse environment conditions. Leakage waters are collected in the pool by means of the draining system located over the impermeable layer. Waste vehicles leaving the site are cleaned in the wash station, with their tires being washed before the vehicles leave the plant.
